By way of painting, sculpture, and installation, my work explores the interaction of various media and materials, as well as their ability to transform both space and surface. My interest lies in conceptual contrasts which exist within our world. The dichotomies of the natural, versus the domestic, the serendipitous, versus the intended, and the organic, versus the inorganic, are the driving forces behind my pieces. In these sculptures, paintings, and installations, I seek to transform domestic items through my use of earth, plant matter, pigment, and paint.
